I’m really digging them! I’ve just started exploring them, but they seem to all be really smooth and caramel-y. They are getting more popular though, so the prices are starting to go up. If you like single malts, give this a try:

They’re more closely related to Scotch than Bourbon/Rye and they’re delicious.

Yamazaki Whisky is best Whisky (Japanese Whisky that is).

Edit: J/K Hibiki is pretty solid.

Totally agree! I LOVE that stuff, just trying to get my hands on as many different Japanese whiskeys as I can, but they’re getting hard to find around here. People are snatching them all up. Yamazaki is my favorite whiskey of all.

Never seen a Japanese whiskey in that price range in Denver. But, have you had Leopold Bros? It’s local to Denver, it’s around $30-35 a bottle, and it’s better than most of the $60-80 bottles I’ve had. Sooooooo good.

This is my favourite (at least favourite whisky I can get my hands on)

It’s from the ocean side of Islay so it has a nice briny flavour to it.
